AGM Batteries

Sealed absorbed-glass-mat batteries — no watering, no spill risk, and a lower entry price than lithium for starting and deep cycle work.

The AGM Lineup

Starting and deep cycle AGM in Group 24, 27 and 31.

Sealed and Simple

Maintenance-Free Without the Lithium Price

AGM sits between flooded lead-acid and lithium: sealed so there is nothing to water and nothing to spill, more vibration-tolerant than a flooded battery, and considerably cheaper than a lithium pack. For a seasonal boat or a second machine, it is often the right call.

Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing the Right Battery

How is AGM different from a flooded lead-acid battery?

An AGM battery holds its acid in a glass-mat separator instead of free liquid. That makes it sealed, spill-resistant and far more tolerant of vibration, and it means there is nothing to water.

Should I buy AGM or lithium?

AGM costs less up front and needs no maintenance. Lithium weighs far less, lasts substantially longer and holds voltage better under load. If the battery sees heavy use every week, lithium usually wins over its service life; for lighter seasonal use AGM is often the better value.

How do I know which group size I need?

Group size describes the case dimensions and terminal layout, not the capacity. Match the group size stamped on your current battery — every product page lists the group size and dimensions so you can confirm it fits the tray you already have.

Charging & Maintenance

Does AGM need a special charger?

Use a charger with an AGM profile — most modern smart chargers, including the Pro-Guide chargers on this site, have one. Do not charge AGM on a high-voltage equalise setting meant for flooded batteries.

Warranty & Support

What warranty comes with these batteries?

Terms vary by product line — the term for each battery is listed on its product page, and the full details are on our Warranty Information page. Register your battery online after purchase to activate coverage.

What if I am still not sure which one to buy?

Call our US-based battery team on 1-800-827-3232 before you order. Tell us the machine, the tray you are working with and how long you need to run between charges, and we will point you at the right part number, or message us.
