Every Bank at Once

Independent Outputs, Not a Shared Bus

A multi-bank charger gives each battery its own regulated output, so a cranking battery and a pair of trolling motor batteries all finish properly without ever being cross-connected. On a mixed 12V/16V/36V rig, that is the only clean way to do it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing a Charger

How do I pick the right charger for my batteries?

Match three things: the system voltage, the number of banks you need to charge, and the chemistry. Then size the output current — a larger amp output charges faster, but keep it within what the battery manufacturer allows.

What is the difference between an on-board and a portable charger?

An on-board charger is mounted permanently in the boat or machine and wired to each bank, so you only plug in an AC cord. A portable charger stays on the bench and is connected when you need it.

What does "multi-bank" mean?

A multi-bank charger charges several separate batteries at once, each on its own independent output. A 3-bank charger, for example, can service a cranking battery and two trolling motor batteries simultaneously without cross-connecting them.

Charging & Maintenance

Can I charge a lithium battery with a lead-acid charger?

It will usually put some charge in, but it will not complete the charge correctly and can shorten the life of the pack. Use a charger with a LiFePO4 profile — everything in the Lithium-Compatible collection has one.

Can I leave the charger connected all the time?

Our chargers switch to a maintenance stage once the battery is full, so leaving them connected is normal practice for stored boats and carts. Check the individual product page for the charger you are buying.

Warranty & Support

What warranty comes with these batteries?

Terms vary by product line — the term for each battery is listed on its product page, and the full details are on our Warranty Information page. Register your battery online after purchase to activate coverage.

What if I am still not sure which one to buy?

Call our US-based battery team on 1-800-827-3232 before you order. Tell us the machine, the tray you are working with and how long you need to run between charges, and we will point you at the right part number, or message us.
