6-Volt Bank Cells

6V Batteries

Flooded deep cycle 6V batteries — the building block of golf cart, floor machine and RV house banks wired in series.

The Series Standard

Six Volts at a Time

Six-volt deep cycle cells have been the backbone of golf cart and RV house banks for decades, because a tall 6V case fits more plate area — and therefore more cycle life — than a 12V battery of the same footprint. Wire them in series and you get whatever voltage the machine needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing the Right Battery

How many 6V batteries do I need?

Divide your system voltage by six — a 36V bank takes six, a 48V bank takes eight. Always replace the whole string at once so the batteries age together.

Can I wire lower-voltage batteries in series instead?

You can, and plenty of systems still do — two 6V batteries in series make 12V, three 12V make 36V. A single higher-voltage lithium battery replaces that whole string with one case, one set of terminals and far less weight.

How do I know which group size I need?

Group size describes the case dimensions and terminal layout, not the capacity. Match the group size stamped on your current battery — every product page lists the group size and dimensions so you can confirm it fits the tray you already have.

Charging & Maintenance

How often should I water a 6V flooded bank?

Check the levels regularly — heavy daily duty means checking often. Use distilled water only, and top up after charging, never before.

Warranty & Support

What warranty comes with these batteries?

Terms vary by product line — the term for each battery is listed on its product page, and the full details are on our Warranty Information page. Register your battery online after purchase to activate coverage.

What if I am still not sure which one to buy?

Call our US-based battery team on 1-800-827-3232 before you order. Tell us the machine, the tray you are working with and how long you need to run between charges, and we will point you at the right part number, or message us.
